Hello AMD Developer Community,
I’m currently building two open-source projects focused on making advanced AI more accessible, efficient, and capable on consumer hardware, particularly AMD CPUs and GPUs.
## Project 1: Zentrix
Zentrix is a next-generation AI runtime written in Rust, designed to run modern LLMs efficiently across a wide range of hardware configurations.
GitHub:
Current focus areas:
- Efficient GGUF model execution
- Intelligent CPU/GPU offloading
- Hardware-aware model loading
- Memory-efficient inference
- Quantized model support
- OpenAI-compatible API layer
- Local AI deployment
- AMD and CUDA support
- Future ROCm-native optimization
The goal is to provide a runtime that can automatically adapt to available hardware and enable AI workloads on everything from entry-level laptops to high-performance workstations.

## Project 2: ZenDNA
Alongside Zentrix, I am researching a new cognitive architecture called ZenDNA.
Instead of relying solely on model parameters, ZenDNA introduces multiple memory layers inspired by human cognition.
Key concepts:
### Episodic Memory
Stores experiences and interactions.
### Semantic Memory
Stores accumulated concepts and knowledge.
### Retrieval-Based Memory
Allows small models to access large external knowledge stores efficiently.
### Cognitive Reasoning Layer
Supports planning, reflection, and decision making.
### Continuous Learning
Learn from new information without full model retraining.
### Memory Consolidation
Convert experiences into long-term knowledge structures.

## Research Vision
Current LLM development often focuses on increasing parameter counts.
My research explores a different direction:
Small Reasoning Core
Persistent Memory
Knowledge Graphs
Retrieval Systems
Reflection Mechanisms
Continuous Learning
Rather than building larger models, the objective is to create lightweight AI systems that grow in capability through memory and experience.
The long-term vision is an AI system that:
- Operates efficiently on low-end hardware
- Remembers previous experiences
- Learns continuously
- Builds knowledge over time
- Performs personalized reasoning
- Scales intelligence through cognition rather than parameter count

## Why AMD?
AMD hardware is becoming increasingly important for local AI.
I am currently working on:
- AMD CPU optimization
- ROCm integration
- Hybrid CPU + GPU execution
- Efficient memory management
- Reduced VRAM requirements
- Better utilization of consumer AMD GPUs
The goal is to make advanced local AI accessible without requiring expensive enterprise hardware.
